While travelling through LAX recently we stopped into the Emirates Business Class Lounge as Virgin Australia Business Class passenger (read our review of Virgin Australia’s ‘The Business’ Business Class here). The lounge is very stylish and is upstairs overlooking the airport terminal.

The large lounge has a range of seating options including a dining, bar and lounge area, as well as a large balcony area and an entertainment zone with television screens. Each seat has access to power points, so you can recharge your devices or catch up on work before your next flight. One great place to sit and relax was on the balcony overlooking the airport, the light and airy space was a nice change from being inside, unfortunately, there are no power outlets on the balcony. The lounge never really felt crowded, due to the size there was plenty of room for everyone to have space, this is definitely how the space was designed with multiple bar stations around the lounge to make sure no area gets too busy.

The bar and food are both self-serve, and there is a huge range of choices including french champagne, and premium spirits to mix your favourite drink. Along with this, there is also tea, coffee, soft drink and juice available.

The self-serve buffet was definitely one of the best that we have visited with a mix of middle eastern, western and Asian cuisines on offer including both more substantial meals and smaller gourmet snacks to enjoy if you are short on time.

The Emirates lounge is open in winter: 11:35 – 15:35 and in summer 12:40 – 16:40, for Virgin Australia, flights to the lounge is available 4 hours prior to departure and closes 15 minutes prior to departure.
