Paris Extime Lounge Review

We recently flew from Paris to Muscat in Business Class with Oman Air. With Oman Air departing from Terminal 1 in Charles de Gaulle Airport, we had the opportunity to check out the Paris Extime Lounge within this terminal.

The Extime Lounge is a collaboration between the operator of Paris airports and a global airport services provider, if you’re flying on a Round The World with Cathay Pacific, you’ll gain access to this lounge assuming you meet screening requirements. Elite and premium frequent flyers of select airlines receive complimentary access to this lounge, but it is also a pay-in club open to all passengers departing from Terminal 1 to destinations outside the Schengen zone.

Unlike the Star Alliance Lounge and Qatar Airways Lounge, the Extime Lounge is situated after security, in a new area that was built during COVID.

When we arrived at Terminal 1 we quickly checked out bags through the Oman Air priority counter. We found the staff at the counter to be very attentive, confirming seat selections and changing if a better option was available. With three more flights in total until we landed back in Australia, our bags were checked through all the way to Adelaide.

We were also told to follow the ‘Access No. 1’ lanes through the airport. This started from clearing security, all the way through to immigration. This allowed us to move through from the check-in desk to the lounge in less than 10 minutes!

Once clearing security, you turn right and head up the elevators. The lounge is located on level 3.

We arrived at the lounge during the evening, due to flying out of Paris at 9pm. When entering the lounge we were greeted with a food station to the left and various seating arrangements in front and to the right.

There was a good variety of seating options, from high tables situated against the walls, to lower style lounge chairs for more comfortable options. A feature we liked was each lounge chair had an individual table that could be moved around depending on how you wished to use it.

The lounge was not large, but the styling made it feel very comfortable and not overcrowded. With one side of the lounge overlooking the tarmac and providing excellent views, the other side had large mirrors which really opened up the space.

The large amount of flowers made the space feel very soft, something which is not a common feeling in airport lounges, with many of them feeling quite sterile.

Paris Extime Lounge Dining and Drink Options

Although we arrived in the evening, there was still a variety of food available to cater to most travellers cravings. There was an assortment of hot foods from rice and chicken curry style dishes to soup with a variety of breads.
