The Star Alliance Premium Economy fare was released in 2015 and is targeted at those looking for multiple stopovers in each continent in an inclusive style, rather than the much cheaper basic airfare from Lufthansa. Depending on your overall budget and needs for flexibility, considering a basic round the world fare such as the Lufthansa deal plus purchasing separate internal flights would generally be significantly cheaper.

Price Range:

Up to 29,000 miles: $5,699 plus taxes
Up to 34,000 miles: $6,699 plus taxes
Up to 39,000 miles: $7,699 plus taxes
