Lufthansa Frankfurt Welcome Lounge Review

Recently while travelling with Lufthansa on their 3 continent global fare we arrived in Frankfurt just in time to visit the Lufthansa Welcome Lounge. 

Located directly after baggage claim in arrivals area B, the lounge is open from 5 am to 1pm (the last admission is at 12:30pm). Our flight from New York arrived just in time to have a quick visit before it closed. Even though we arrived towards the end of opening times the staff in the lounge were more than happy to accommodate us with anything we needed, unfortunately, the showers had already closed for the day but the rest of the lounge was ours.

The lounge is split over two levels with the main lounge, dining and business centre on the top floor and 26 shower rooms on the lower level. The lounge area had plenty of space to sit and relax after your flight, as well as two tv screens with entertainment in both English and German.

The business centre was fully equipped with private desks, charging stations and a private meeting room so you can start preparing for your day ahead as soon as you land.

The self-serve selection has both breakfast and lunch options as well as an array of drinks including coffee, tea, juice, soft drinks and some beer and wine. The dining options consisted of quick light meals, that can be eaten quickly before heading out or while working in the lounge including sandwiches, pastries, fruit, and of course German pretzels.

The Lufthansa Welcome Lounge is the perfect stop after arrival to refresh and have a shower and a bite to eat, especially if you ned to hit the ground running, or if your flight arrives too early to check-in to your hotel room.
