Lufthansa has announced its plan to increase its long-haul A380 routes for the Winter 2023 season. The reactivation of the A380, often referred to as the “Superjumbo”, is in response to a higher demand for travel in the coming months.

Where Lufthansa Will Be Flying

The airline recently confirmed that four units will resume service from Lufthana’s two main hubs, Frankfurt and Munich. New York and Boston will receive Airbus A380 flights from Lufthansa starting on June 1 2023, while Los Angeles will also deliver a third destination, with flights commencing from October 5th 2023.

In addition to this, the German airline has also announced plans to introduce their Superjumbo from Munich onto flights to Asia. The capital of Thailand, Bangkok, and home to one of the largest Star Alliance partner airlines, Thai Airways, will be the first city to see the arrival of the Airbus A380. Both of these services are now available to book on our Lufthansa Global Airfare.
