SWISS Airlines To Increase Long-Haul Services On Winter Schedule

Although Summer is approaching in the Northern Hemisphere, airlines have already begun working on their Winter schedules. SWISS Airlines has recently announced a significant boost to its Winter short-to-long-haul schedules, with the airline aiming to enhance connectivity and cater to the growing demand.

SWISS Airlines Route Upgrades For Winter

With a combination of new destinations along with increased frequencies on selected existing routes, SWISS aims to offer flight services to at least 68 short and medium-haul destinations from Zurich and Geneva in the coming 2023/2024 Winter timetable period, while offering a total of 21 long-haul destinations. 

In addition to this, the Star Alliance member will double flights from Zurich and Geneva to Miami, taking the up to 14 weekly flights, while also flying to New York JKF up to 21 times per week, San Francisco and Los Angeles up to 6 times weekly as well as Boston, Chicago and Montreal each seven times weekly. We will see Egypt’s capital Cairo, served daily in the coming Winter timetable period, while Shanghai in China will receive up to 6 weekly flights, three frequencies more than what has been offered over the Summer season.

SWISS To Increase Long-Haul Services On Winter Schedule

Flight services to Athens, London, Lisbon and Porto will also be added to the list of destinations to provide travellers with a bigger choice, especially to Winter sport enthusiasts. Moreover, the airline will also enhance its services to cities like Barcelona to cater to the growing demand for warmer climates during Winter months.

SWISS International Expansion Offerings

With SWISS expanding its Winter schedule, it is clear the demand for travel is still strong. With the Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS, Tamur Goudarzi Pour, commenting “We are very pleased to be further expanding our range of long-haul services this coming Winter, within the overall framework of our long-term network planning, to offer our customers an even more attractive choice of flights”.

In doing this, SWISS have made it clear that it remains their paramount objective to provide their passengers with stable and reliable flight operations. SWISS travellers will be offered a total of 21 long-haul destinations in the coming Winter schedules, with this period running from 29 October 2023 to 30 March 2024. With SWISS Airlines being a Star Alliance member, we will see greater availability in round the world flights fro, the carrier during this season.
