In-Flight Shopping on Lufthansa

If you’re travelling with Lufthansa across Europe you will be stopping in to Frankfurt Airport at some point during your journey.  It’s large and it can involve some long walks between gates, but it does come with some benefits too.

Both Lufthansa and Fraport (the airport’s operating company) have together created ‘Lounge Shopping’ for passengers.  Travellers in selected Lufthansa lounges can do their airport shopping without leaving the lounge on airline-supplied iPads, and have their purchases delivered to them within half an hour.  The product range currently extends from alcohol, to fashion, travel goods and leather goods with the choices expected to be expanding regularly.

Also, ‘Inflight Shopping’ is happening for long-haul passengers, on their way to Frankfurt.  Shop in-flight and have your purchases ready to collect at the arrival gate immediately after landing.

The next innovation coming soon is ‘Taste & Travel’, where Lufthansa passengers can order meals for delivery direct to them at the departure gate.  Meals can be taken on-board, but your fellow passengers probably won’t love you for it!
