New Singapore Airlines Premium Economy
Singapore Airlines have just announced the release of their new premium economy product. This is extremely good news for Velocity frequent flyers offering more affordable options to travel in comfort without shelling out full business class rates.
The seats look as follows with 19.5 inch seat width…
And there is 8″ of seat recline…
Singapore Airlines will retrofit their aircraft with this product in a 2-4-2 seat configuration. There are some nifty storage areas for water bottles, similar to Lufthansa’s new premium economy product. Seat pitch is a generous 38 inches. Singapore are advising that there is the seat rest for leg support although we are yet to see if this will only be available at the exit row/bulk head position such as on Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa.
AVOD is impressive with a 13.3 inch full HD screen and there is a well positioned charging point for your electronic devices between seats with 2 x USB ports and a great adjustable reading light. There will be an exclusive premium economy Book the Cook offering.
Premium Economy will be rolled out on A380 aircraft starting with Sydney on 9 August. It will be rolled out progressively on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft as well and then the A350 once received. Destinations will include Beijing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, Mumbai, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo and Zurich. Premium economy guests will enjoy a 35kg baggage allowance, priority boarding, priority baggage handling and champagne served throughout the flight.
Bookings are starting now from $2270 return Sydney-Singapore in premium economy. Use our inquiry form to look at booking one of these sensational airfares.
