Fiji Airways A350 Business Class Review
On a recent trip from Nadi to Sydney, our Marketing Coordinator, Anjelica, tested out the Fiji Airways A350-900 Business Class product. The flight left at 9.00am and took just under 5 hours.
I had just previously visited the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge in Nadi and were excited to try out their Business Class seats. Make sure to read the lounge review to know what I loved and what could be improved.
You can visit the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge when flying on a Round the World fare with oneworld or with Qantas. Why not stopover in tropical Fiji for a relaxing end to your trip! Have a look at our oneworld Business Class RTW fare or Qantas Business Class RTW fare to learn more. To visit Fiji, you can also fly on the Qantas Economy Class RTW fare– one of the best value fares on the market, especially in low and shoulder seasons.

Fiji Airways A350 Business Class Boarding/Welcome
The boarding process was a little ‘all over the place’ leaving a less-than-ideal first impression. There was no priority check in however, there was priority security and customs, but then no priority boarding lane. The staff called out for boarding (not even over a speaker) which meant I had to weave my way up to the front and squish between people to board first.
After boarding the plane, things started to improve. I was provided with a welcome drink ( a choice between either champagne or orange juice) and a hot towel as well. This arrived quite quickly after I boarded, which was nice. It felt like I was being cared for from the very start. In one of the compartments was a bottle of Fiji water- a great touch!
One thing to note was that it was freezing on the plane, even while wearing a jumper and long pants. Make sure to rug up!
Fiji Airways A350 Business Class Layout and Seats
I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and private the seats were onboard this Fiji Airways product. It was set up in a 1-2-1 configuration, where the seats at the windows are facing on a diagonal to the window. The seats in the middle kind of face toward each other but also have a privacy divider which gave passengers a lot more privacy, if needed.
The seat itself had a personal reading light, multiple compartments for storage, an IFE Remote, charging plugs as well as an adjustable arm rest. To the right of the seat was a touchscreen seat control screen that was very easy to use. There was also a side table that was able to be opened and used for extra storage. Inside the compartment was an IFE Remote used to control the TV and lighting and also had multiple power points for charging devices.
The fully flat bed was long and quite roomy. It was reasonably comfortable and would definitely be great for a long-haul flight. As this was only a short flight, I wasn’t given any proper bedding, so I used the seat pillow and the blanket for a quick nap which was comfortable enough. We imagine for a long-haul Round the World flight with oneworld, there would be proper bedding provided.
I did like that the seat controls could be personalised to whatever position you like, which I found more efficient than the A330 Business Class.
Fiji Airways A350 Business Class Amenities and Extra
On this product there was an abundance of storage! Not only were there little compartments on either side of the seat but there was also a handbag storage unit in front of the seat and lots of floor space. Furthermore, there was a bench that could be a footrest or turn into extra storage for bigger backpacks.
I loved that there was an entire charging unit that also included an IFE remote to control the touchscreen TV. It was a nice extra that made the experience feel much more elevated. There were USB ports, headphone sockets, charging ports and a normal power point. The complimentary wi-fi was also a great addition! However, it didn’t work great for me and kept dropping out.
The TV was not laggy at all and there was a wide range of new movies available to watch. I was also given noise-cancelling headphones which were great for watching the movies because of how good the sound quality was!
Fiji Airways Business Class Onboard Dining
Breakfast was served pretty quickly (within 45 minutes of take off) which I liked. It meant that after eating, I was able to relax and have a nap or do some work. I got to choose from 3 breakfast meals, with a fruit salad and baked goods served on the side. There was a choice between a Cheese Omelette, Banana Pancakes or Indian Spiced Savoury Waffles.
I opted for the Banana Pancakes as I were feeling something sweet. They were a little dry, but the syrup was a great way to soak up the pancake. The fruit was fresh and seasonal and the citrus glaze was a nice touch. They served the bakery items about 5 minutes after they provided the meal, which I thought was a bit odd. It would have been nice to have it all together.
I was also provided with snacks during the flight like chocolates, nuts, crackers, chips and biscuits. In terms of beverages, there was a good selection of wines on board from New Zealand, The United States and South Australia. There was also a fine range of spirits and liqueurs, as well as Fijian beer. Other drinks included your standard juices, soft drinks, teas, coffees and hot drinks.
I must mention that Fiji Airways should be given a round of applause as they never fail to provide great service. From start to finish the service was professional, friendly and the staff personalised the experience for me.
Overall, the onboard dining experience on the Fiji Airways A350 Business Class was really enjoyable and the service was incredible!
Fiji Airways Business Class Summary
While onboard the Fiji Airways A350 Business Class product, I was really impressed with the amazing service, the wide and private comfortable seats and fully flat beds, as well as the tasty onboard dining.
I would have liked to have a smoother check in and boarding process, as it seemed to be a bit too chaotic compared to other Business Class products.
I definitely would suggest to have a tropical stopover in Fiji on your way home from a busy Round the World Trip. You are able to fly on the Fiji Airways Business Class A350 when flying on a Round the World fare with oneworld. Have a look at our oneworld Business Class RTW fare to learn more. It’s a great option for the long-haul flights.
