Fiji Airways A330 Business Class Review
We recently flew Business Class on the Fiji Airways A330-200 product when travelling from Auckland to Nadi.
Fiji Airways is currently a oneworld connect partner, meaning you can fly with them on our oneworld Business Class Round the World fare or Qantas Business Class Round the World fare.
After visiting the Strata Lounge and Qantas International Business Class Lounge, we were very prepared for the short-haul flight to Fiji. The flight was scheduled for 2.05pm and we were happy that the flight left on time. When travelling round the world, the service on Fiji Airways is immaculate and we would recommend taking a pit stop in Fiji as an island getaway at the end of your trip.

Fiji Airways Business Class Boarding
Business Class passengers have access to priority check in, boarding and luggage, which made this experience so seamless! We were one of the first to board and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. When travelling around the world, access to these priority services enhances the experiences so much more and will make the journey feel way less stressful.
Once seated, staff were so attentive, always coming around and checking on us. We were excited to receive a welcome drink before taking off, this being a choice between champagne and orange juice.
A lightly fragranced hot towel was also provided upon arrival as well as a bottle of Fiji Water of course! All these services happened in increments, making it feel like we were always being attended to. We were provided with a menu and later asked what we would like to eat and drink for meal service.
Fiji Airways A330 Business Class Layout and Cabin
The seats felt reasonably wide onboard the Fiji Airways A330-200 Business Class product, and although a bit of a dated plane, the cabin was clean, comfortable and definitely suitable for a Round the World trip.
The Business Class cabin features 24 seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, meaning you do have someone sitting next to you. However, it felt quite private because there was a divider in the middle next to the head of the seat. Once laying down, there is also much more privacy because of that middle divider.
In our seat, there were charging ports, a cup holder, water bottle holder, as well as smaller storage compartments in front and under the cup holders. In front of us were two storage compartments, a bag hook and plenty of legroom.
The seat had controls to our left with plenty of positions to relax in. Since it was a short flight during the day, we mostly just had our foot rest positioned up. To be picky, we would have liked to extend our legs without having to move down.
We did get a chance to try out the angled bed. There was no bedding or extra pillows provided to us- only the small pillow and blanket we got at the start of the flight. It was spacious and roomy though, but for us we found the chair was a little hard- not as plush as we would have preferred. We would definitely be able to recommend this angled bed for a short haul round the world leg.
Fiji Airways A330 Business Class Amenities and Entertainment
Onboard were 15.4” monitors with entertainment available. There were noise cancelling headphones available with the TV too. It is good to note that the monitor was not touchscreen and everything needed to be controlled from the remote.
There was a limited variety of new movies and TV shows to watch but expected on this older model plane. Unfortunately, we did not receive any amenity kit on board either. We were disappointed by this, as the small details are really important.
Fiji Airways Business Class Onboard Dining
We were very happy about the entire onboard dining experience with the Fiji Airways A330 product. The whole service exceeded our expectations and the food was pretty decent.
Before meal service they laid out our cutlery and napkins and handed us a drink that we had ordered at the beginning of the flight. They also gave us a little bowl of snacks that were like cheese crackers/chips which was a great addition.
On the menu was a side dish, three choices of mains, two desserts and three different bakery options. We opted for the Huli-Huli Chicken Kebab, the Fijian Purini for dessert and had the Couscous Salad on the side.
The meal itself was presented very nicely, however we did have to wait another five minutes until we got the bread roll – I chose a piece of garlic bread which was quite small and not as warm as I would have liked. Overall, the meal was tasty, fresh and packed with flavour! It was nice to be able to have a traditional Fijian dessert which was super delicious and high quality.
There were a range of different drinks to choose from as well- including alcoholic, juices, soft drinks, teas, and other hot drinks. A key difference we noticed about Fiji staff is that they do everything with a very personal touch.
After our meals came out, they were checking up on us and would take them away as soon as we were done. This meant we were able to pop our tray table away and relax almost straight away.
During meal service, staff served us more drinks and then brought dessert out at a time they thought suited us. This made for a much more personalised service which we enjoyed and appreciated.
Fiji Airways A330 Business Class Summary
Our overall experience flying Fiji Airways A330 Business Class on their product was delightful. The check-in and boarding process went smoothly and it was lovely to be greeted onboard with their friendly staff. The onboard dining was really enjoyable and we were appreciative of the three different mains to choose from.
We would have liked to receive an amenity kit to make our flight a little more comfortable. This product is a little on the dated side but is great for a short-haul flight on your next Round the World trip.
