Turkish Airlines A321Neo Business Class – IntraEurope Review

On our recent Business Class trip to Paris, we flew with Turkish Airlines from Istanbul to Paris in Business Class on their A321Neo.  After a short stay in Istanbul where we visited the Turkish Airlines Business Class Lounge, we boarded our flight at 8:30pm. Being a priority traveller, we had a separate line which allowed us to board prior to other passengers.

Turkish Airlines A321Neo Business Class Cabin Layout

Being only a short-haul flight (4 hours) to Paris, the Business Class cabin layout offered 2-2 seating. We were seated against the window, meaning we didn’t have direct aisle access. We didn’t find this to be an issue as it was only a short flight. Our first impressions were that we had limited storage. We didn’t expect the usual capacity, but even the storage under the seat in front of us was very small. This meant we didn’t have a lot of room to store even our smaller bag. With the flight being fully booked, there was very limited to almost no overhead storage for an extra bag, even though it was allowed in Business Class.

In front was a seat pocket where we stored our laptop for the flight, while in the right arm rest was the tray table and on the left was a screen. The seats were reasonably large and new looking which was nice. They offered a good amount of recline, but did not convert into a fully flat bed. One thing we would like to see is for the foot rest to move up a touch more to help support your legs. Although this seems minor, it does make a big difference.

Turkish Airlines A321Neo Business Class Inflight Dining

Due to an evening departure we were served dinner on the flight. Our selection for the main consisted of a Braised Lamb Shank, Spicy Chicken Makhani or a Homemade Artichoke Mezzelune. We opted for the Braised Lamb Shank.

To start we were served an entree of Buffalo Mozzarella with grilled Mediterranean Vegetables, which was nice and fresh to begin the meal. Some Marinated Artichoke was served on the side along with some blue cheese, cheddar cheese and a fig. Everything was presented well and held good flavours.

Next up was the main, thee Braised Lamb Shank, which was served with rice and beans. This was rather tender, something we weren’t expecting from aeroplane food. The rice was slightly overcooked, but the juice of the beans soaked into it well, helping to soften it. Finally, there was a Dark and Light Chocolate Trifle to end our meal. This was very soft and spongy, almost like a chocolate mousse texture. Although it was rather sweet, it was a nice way to end our meal.

Turkish Airlines A321Neo Business Class Summary

Overall, our experience flying Turkish Airlines Business Class from Istanbul to Paris was positive. The food was fresh, while the service we received was good. As it was a short-haul flight we didn’t expect the same luxurious as long-haul flights, but the seats were comfortable and made it an easy experience.
