Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa Group to Codeshare Flights out of Australia.

Cathay Pacific and the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, SWISS, & Austrian Airlines) have signed a new codeshare agreement.

The new agreement covers Lufthansa Group flights throughout Europe and Cathay Pacific flights from Hong Kong to Australia and New Zealand and provides even more flexibility for round the world trips.

Along with the codeshare agreement comes a reciprocal frequent flyer agreement, Members of Asia Miles (Cathay Pacific) and Miles & More (Lufthansa Group) will be eligible to earn points on the codeshare routes, Marco Polo members can also earn points on Cathay flights operated by Lufthansa.

The new agreement means that with the use of Cathay Pacific services you’ll have more choices and seat availability out of Australia on discount Lufthansa/Swiss/Austrian round the world airfares.

Codeshare Routes:

Lufthansa – Frankfurt to: Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Dresden, Hannover, Hamburg, Nuremburg, Oslo and Stuttgart

SWISS – Zurich to: Berlin, Brussels, Florence, Geneva, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Venice

Austrian Airlines – Vienna to: Frankfurt, Zurich and Dusseldorf

Cathay Pacific – Hong Kong to: Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and Auckland
