Finnair 100 Years Menu
Finnair is launching a series of new food collaborations to celebrate Finland’s 100th Centenary.
The 100 Year menus have been created with the ELO foundation, an association dedicated to the promotion of Finnish food culture and feature traditional Finnish fare.
The business class speciality dishes have been created by award winning Finnish Chef Eero Vottonen and will be available for passengers flying in and out of Helsinki between October 4th 2017 and January 9th 2018.
Business Class Leaving Helsinki
On flights out of Helsinki, business class passengers can dine on Finnish delicacies including Baltic Herring, Karelian Stew, and Mushroom soup with cured Elk.
Business Class To Helsinki
On flights to Helsinki business class passengers will be served specialty dishes including, pickled salmon, rainbow trout and traditional beef & pork stew.
Economy Class
Economy Class passengers will dine on a speciality menu that has been designed by school children and is based on Finland’s popular school menu. The menu includes Finnish favourites such as potatoes and meatballs, and macaroni and meat casserole. The menu will be served from July 5 2017 – January 9 2018.
Passengers will also be invited to enjoy rye bread and Karelian pies inflight, 2 foods that topped the list in a recent public poll where Finns voted to find Finland’s national food.
