Finnair Announces its First Signature Menu in the United States
Finnair has teamed up with Chicago-based Chef David Posey for its newest Signature Menu collaboration. As the owner of Elske Resturant in Chicago, he has partnered with Finnair to create Nordic-inspired dishes to be served in business class on all long-haul flights departing from the United States.
Posey’s restaurant Elske has a distinct Scandinavian influence to its food, paying homage to the chef’s Danish roots and offering flavourful Nordic cuisine. While at Elske Posey has received wide acclaim including a Michelin star in 2017 and 2018.
The signature menu for Finnair has been inspired by Posey’s Scandinavian heritage and the airline’s Nordic influences. The menu includes delicious items like a root vegetable appetizer and pork neck entree, the business class menu will incorporate classic and simple ingredients to provide bold flavours.
Posey has said that he is excited to be working with Finnair and wats to provide a taste of Scandinavia through fresh, seasonal dishes that embrace authentic flavours and traditional recipes presented in a unique way.
