Lufthansa Announces More A380 Routes

Lufthansa has announced its plan to increase its long-haul A380 routes for the Winter 2023 season. The reactivation of the A380, often referred to as the “Superjumbo”, is in response to a higher demand for travel in the coming months.

Where Lufthansa Will Be Flying

The airline recently confirmed that four units will resume service from Lufthana’s two main hubs, Frankfurt and Munich. New York and Boston will receive Airbus A380 flights from Lufthansa starting on June 1 2023, while Los Angeles will also deliver a third destination, with flights commencing from October 5th 2023. 

In addition to this, the German airline has also announced plans to introduce their Superjumbo from Munich onto flights to Asia. The capital of Thailand, Bangkok, and home to one of the largest Star Alliance partner airlines, Thai Airways, will be the first city to see the arrival of the Airbus A380. Lufthansa’s Superjumbo Capacity

With the Superjumbo having the capability to carry more than 500 passengers per flight across four different seat classes ranging from Economy Class to First Class, we will see a huge capacity increase across all classes. For example, we will see First Class remain at 8 seats, Business Class increase from 44 to 78, Premium Economy increase from 32 to 52 and Economy go from 213 to 371.

New Lufthansa Connections To India

Along with the new A380 destinations announced by Lufthansa, the airline has also revealed the launch of two new routes, Frankfurt to Hyderabad and Munich to Bangalore. These destinations will be reached by Lufthansa’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which have been presenting amazing performance and fuel efficiency since taking to the skies with the airline.
