Qantas Opens Singapore First Class Lounge
Qantas has officially opened its newest First Class Lounge today inside Singapore’s Changi Airport, the luxury space is spread over 1,000 square metres.
The First Class lounge will operate alongside the airline’s Business Class lounge, providing capacity for 240 passengers and a bespoke offering for Qantas’ First Class passengers and top tier frequent flyers.
As the fourth Qantas First Class lounge, joining Sydney, London and Los Angeles the Singapore lounge has been designed to best suit the needs of the guests, whether they need to relax, do last-minute work, have a quick shower, or a meal before departure to maximise sleep onboard.
The lounge has been designed to give guests a sense of calming luxury as soon as they walk into the lounge. This has been done by combining the classic Qantas lounge design features with authentic Singaporean touches of greenery.
Chef Neil Perry has designed the dining experience to reflect Singapore’s vibrant culture, as well as First Class favourites like the chicken club sandwich and salt and pepper squid. Qantas know that guests will be visiting the lounge at different stages of their journey so have included menu items that cater to every taste.
An open kitchen will serve up a Rockpool a la carte seasonal menu that will include local delicacies like the signature tea-smoked duck breast with pickled cabbage and Chinese mustard and laksa with crayfish, bok choy and fried shallots.
The lounge also features a cocktail bar with lounge seating serving French champagne, seasonal spritzes, unique cocktails inspired by Singapore, like a Calamansi Mojito – made from the local Calamansi fruit, Singaporean and Australian beer – and a variety of Australian wine. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available such as kombucha, and Rockpool ‘House Lemonade’ along with all-day barista service and a selection of savoury snacks and fruit.
Wellness is a major inspiration for Qantas and the First Class lounge is no different, bringing the outside in with live greenery throughout the lounge to soften the space and the use of natural materials and colour palettes to help guest relax in the space.
The lounge also features a unique workspace, giving travellers the choice to work in an open communal setting or individual lounge chairs with high dividers. USB and charging ports are located throughout the lounge with WiFi to keep everyone connected.
Combined with the Qantas Singapore Business Class lounge at Changi Airport Qantas now provides a combined 800 seats to their premium customers inside their lounge. Contact our expert travel consultants to book your next Qantas round the world trip today.
