Air Canada Business Class Lounge Review

Recently, while travelling around the world, we flew from Montreal to San Francisco. Before flying Business Class with Air Canada, we had time to explore the Air Canada Business Class Maple Leaf Lounge in the Montreal International Airport. 

Air Canada’s Business Maple Leaf Lounge is located in Terminal C. You simply turn right after immigration, and it’s a short 2-minute walk and located on your left. Once you scan your boarding pass at the lounge desk, you walk slightly upstairs, and the lounge opens up and welcomes you to a nice view of the tarmac through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

While the Business Class lounge is on the smaller side, it has a comfortable atmosphere that wasn’t loud or too busy. An additional bonus was the large windows looking out to the tarmac, which allowed for natural light to flow into the lounge and made the space feel bigger.

As you enter, there is a selection of lower chairs in groups of four, each with their own table, along with some higher tables that would be suitable to place a laptop on and work. As you make your way through the Air Canada Business Class lounge, there is more seating of the same variety, along with a food service area to your right with dining tables. Continuing through the lounge, you’ll find more seating options along with a large TV where current sporting events are being aired.

We arrived at the Maple Leaf Business Class lounge shortly after lunch time and were pleased to see a great variety of food options to choose from. Cold options included corn chips with fresh guacamole, a variety of separate salad pieces to make your own salad or snack plate, and a small selection of breads. Hot options included meatballs, pasta, and some rice and vegetables. For beverages, there were a variety of wines on display, spirits, soft drinks, and juices, along with a self-serve coffee machine, which was unfortunately out of order.

Unfortunately, the lounge only had limited charging ports, which were all taken when we visited the lounge. But to combat this issue, there were portable chargers on hand to borrow; this was a nice touch to what was most likely a power point issue inside the lounge.

We found the lounge to be a good place to relax and rest prior to departure for San Francisco, and it being quite quiet and not too busy allowed us to fully sit back and relax. While the view of the tarmac was nice and the food options available were well catered for, we would like to see more charging ports. Air Canada, however, made the most of this situation by providing borrowable portable options.
