Qantas unveils prizes for vaccination
Qantas is launching its reward campaign for COVID-19 vaccinated Australians to recognise their role in helping the country avoid ongoing lockdowns. From 24 August until 31 December 2021, fully vaccinated Australian-based Frequent Flyers will be able to claim their reward through the Qantas App. Applicants need to be over 18 years of age and can choose one of three options:
- 1000 Qantas points
- 15 status credits (which help Frequent Flyers attain or retain Silver, Gold and Platinum membership levels)
- A $20 flight discount for Qantas or Jetstar
By claiming your reward you will then be automatically entered into a ‘mega prize draw’ to win a year’s worth of flights, accommodation and fuel. Ten of the ‘mega prizes’ will be up for grabs with a winner selected from each state and territory and two mega prize winners as part of a national TV campaign.
Winners of the ‘mega prizes’ will receive a year’s worth of flights to more than 60 destinations around Australia (winners will also be able to take off to any Qantas and Jetstar international destination when borders start to open), with free accommodation across 345 Accor hotels, resorts and apartments (including Sofitel, Pullman, Peppers, Mantra, Mercure, Mövenpick, Novotel and Ibis). Winners will also be able to top up their cars with fuel from any of BP across the country. The exact value of the prizes is broken down as follows with a maximum value of $85450…
- 12 x $4,000 and 1 x $2,000 Qantas Major Prize Flight Passes for use on flights (operated by Qantas)
- 1 million ALL – Accor Live Limitless reward points (notionally valued at $31,800), for bookings via all.accor.com or the Accor app at participating properties
- A $3,650 bp Gift Card. One winner will be drawn from each Australian State and Territory
Australian based frequent flyers can claim their points, status credits or flight discounts and be automatically entered in the prize draw by downloading the Qantas App, using their Medicare app to access and upload their COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate and selecting their reward choice. Qantas has advised that vaccination certificate information will be deleted upon verification, confirming that the certificate will not be stored and data will be handled in accordance with their privacy policy.
