Lufthansa have announced a range of new premium products on long-haul routes with the largest investment in the airline’s history and a commitment to delivering unprecedented standards for travellers.

New premium products will be introduced under the name ‘Allegris’ across all travel classes, with Lufthansa to present further details at the beginning of 2023.

First Class

For the first time, Lufthansa will offer a spacious First Class suite with near ceiling high walls for privacy and a seat nearing 1 meter in width and can be converted into a large bed. The cabin will have all forward facing seats with direct aisle access and include a large personal wardrobe. The suites are spacious enough to accommodate changing into your First Class pajamas before a restful night’s sleep.

Guests will be able to enjoy a gourmet dining experience, including the airline’s unique caviar service, and dine with friends at a large dining table. Movies and TV shows can be enjoyed on an entertainment screen that extends the full width of the suite with Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones.

Business Class

In 2017 Lufthansa announced their new Business Class product as part of the ‘Allegris’ generation, that is expected to finally launch in 2023 on their newly delivered A350’s and Boeing 787-9’s. The new product offers direct aisle access for all seats, an improvement on their current product, with a configuration that alternates between 1-2-1 and 1-1-1. Each seat will have 114cm high walls, a seat that converts into a 2m bed and a generous 17” entertainment screen,

As an added benefit, Lufthansa will introduce a premium Business Class product, ‘Suite in the Front Row’. Guests who are able to book this mini suite will be provided with more comfort and privacy with higher walls and sliding doors, extended personal space, a 27” entertainment screen and personal wardrobe. It’s unknown what additional cost this seat will be offered at but we can expect more information in early 2023.

Over 100 new and soon to be delivered Lufthansa aircraft will feature the new ‘Allegris’ products such as the Boeing 787-9’s, Airbus A350’s and Boeing 777-9’s. Several Boeing 747-8’s already in service will be converted to also have the new products.

The recently delivered Boeing 787-9 and four Airbus A350’s will not offer the ‘Allegris’ products but instead a different but improved product, still with direct aisle access and a full 2 meter bed. A further 4 Boeing’s with this product will be delivered in coming weeks. Click here to read more about this Business Class product.

Premium Economy

Lufthansa’s new Premium Economy product has already been announced in 2022 and will launch in 2023 on their Boeing 747-800. The seats are a step up from Economy with a 19” wide seat and 39” seat pitch. Click here to read more about the new Premium Economy.

Economy

The introduction of the new ‘Allegris’ product generation brings more choice for economy passengers. Having previously offered the ‘Sleeper’s Row’, where guests have had the option since August 2021, of booking an Economy Class seat in the front few rows with greater relaxation on long-haul flights. The new generation will soon offer ‘Sleeper’s Row 2.0’, similar to Air New Zealand’s SkyCouch, where passengers can fold up a leg rest and utilise the additional mattress to achieve a reclining surface more than 40% larger than the original ‘Sleeper’s Row’. Additionally, guests will also have the option in the future of booking a vacant neighbours seat.
