Air New Zealand Auckland Business Class Lounge
We checked in to the Air New Zealand Business Class lounge in Auckland on our way home. (You can read our review of Air New Zealand Business Class here)
Opened in 2015, Air New Zealand’s flagship lounge in Auckland is quite large and set on the corner of the building providing windows with views over the tarmac and runway on 2 sides. The lounge is split into different areas with many different seating options including, lounge chairs, work stations, communal areas and even hanging basket chairs.
There is a staffed bar with a range of wine, beer and spirits along with a on site barista. Air New Zealand have developed a genius system where you order your coffee on a tablet, customising your selections and even letting you know an approximate time your coffee will be ready, removing the need to wait around in a queue.
Self serve drink stations are available throughout the lounge with soft drinks, coffee, and wine to help yourself to.
Air New Zealand Business Class Lounge – Dining
We were in the lounge early in the morning so enjoyed the breakfast selection of dining.
There were plenty of cold options including fresh fruit, smoothies, chia bowls, pastries, yoghurts and muesli.
Hot dishes included, scrambled eggs, potatoes, beans, mushrooms and sausages. Along with a chef cooking french toast and a pancake machine with plenty of topping options.
The Air New Zealand Auckland Lounge is a lovely calm environment to work or relax ahead of your flight. The food was fresh and tasty, the additions of a chef cooking breakfast along with the barista made coffee were a welcome addition and the views over the tarmac made for interesting viewing out the windows. The space is large, which is lucky as the lounge really filled up with a number of international flights departing in the morning.
Lounge Access:
Airpoints Elite member + 1 guest when travelling on Star Alliance international flights and up to 5 guests when travelling on Air New Zealand international flights.
Airpoints Gold, Elite Partner and Koru members + 1 guest.
